The Rowley Wrench Web Series is designed to make car knowledge accessible and empowering. Each session builds practical understanding and confidence—perfect for folks who want to follow the full year-long track, as well as those who drop in for a single topic or Q&A.

Under the Hood Hands-On Demo
This hands-on demonstration will cover everything from what's under your hood to braking systems. It is designed to be beginner friendly and open to anyone willing to learn. It will also include a Q+A and discussion portion for any of your burning questions! Our programs are intended to be a safe space with dignity and respect for all. See you there!
BTC Auto Confidence Series
Build real-world car care skills and confidence this spring with two hands-on series offered at Burlington Technical Center in partnership with Rowley Wrench. Designed for women, beginners, and everyday drivers, these classes focus on practical skills you can use right away.
Each series includes five sessions that build on one another, with opportunities to practice skills in a supportive, no-pressure environment. No prior experience is needed.
Auto Confidence for Beginners Series
May 6 – June 3
A general audience series focused on essential car care skills for everyday drivers.

A welcoming, supportive series designed to build confidence through hands-on learning in a comfortable environment.

What You’ll Learn Across each Series
Under the hood basics and fluid checks
Replacing filters, wipers, batteries, and bulbs
Emergency roadside skills, including changing a flat tire
Step-by-step guided oil change
Understanding common repairs and communicating with a mechanic
Instructor
Classes are taught by Allison Rowley of Rowley Wrench, a Vermont-based mechanic and educator known for making car care accessible, practical, and empowering through hands-on instruction.
Cost
$65 per class
$275 for each full 5-class series (save $50)
Participants may register for individual classes or enroll in a full series for the best value.

Preparing Your Car For Winter
Join Rowley Wrench at Winooski Library for a free hands-on workshop: Preparing Your Car for Winter. Learn essential cold-weather car care tips to keep you safe on the road this season. This event is designed to be a safe, welcoming space for women, queer and trans folks, and BIPOC community members—but everyone is invited to attend!
Car Care Education Session & Q+A
Have a question about buying a used car? Curious how your engine works? Never changed your oil but want to learn how? Or do you just want to know why your car is making that weird sound?
Come see us at the St. Albans Free Library on October 11th at 11am to get those questions answered, or just to hang out and talk shop if that’s more your speed!
